The audio isn't playing
First, check that your phone's silent switch is off. If you've selected a premium voice (Charles, Olivia, Josh, Mallory, or Calvin), audio needs an internet connection to download. Switch to "System voice" in Settings to use your phone's built-in narrator offline.
The premium voices won't load
The voice service occasionally has hiccups. Switch to "System voice" in Settings — every tour works fine without internet.
My location isn't showing on the map
Make sure you've allowed location access for London Unlocked in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. The app uses location only on your device; it's never sent anywhere.
Audio keeps playing after I leave a tour
Force-quit the app and reopen — this should clear it. If it persists, please email us with your iPhone model and iOS version.
The system voice won't pause
This is an iOS limitation: Apple's built-in TTS engine doesn't support pause-and-resume mid-utterance. Tapping the button will restart the narration from the top. The premium voices (Charles, Olivia, Josh, Mallory, Calvin) support proper pause and resume.
A tour stop is in the wrong place or has wrong info
Email us with the tour name and stop number and we'll fix it in the next update.
